Digital
technology has really come a very long
way in the past several years. Producing music was a dream
of mine at the time. It has become a reality!
I had contemplated going to college to
start a music industry career. One of my brothers was heavily
involved in the music industry as a local performer in LA.
Although he wasn't really making a career out of it, he did
have a nice tidy supplementary income from his shows. I did
not have the skills to be a musician, but I did have an ear
for music. I could take a good track and make it better – a
skill that all music producers need.
Although my Roland keyboard cost
me about $1200 dollars, this is nothing compared to a grand
piano. Music
production has come a long way baby! The fact
is that a top end keyboard musical instrument sounds the same
as a top end grand, for a fraction of the price. Yes, there
is something nice about actually getting to sit at a grand
piano and play, but that is hardly the point, is it. In addition,
my keyboard musical instrument never has to be tuned, and does
not vary with changes in humidity. Try saying that about a
grand. You can't – it
is simply not true.
Technology has provided this form of entertainment
with innovations to keep everyone interested. Karaoke machines
are designed to make it easy for people and most machines enable
the singer to select the key that suits their voice. Many machines
have sound effects such as putting echo onto the vocal. Video
karaoke games are popular too, as developed for PlayStation
2. The Microsoft Xbox system, launched in 2004, offers downloaded
songs for karaoke machines to store. Enthusiasts can even get
a karaoke fix in their car
or truck. A Chinese car manufacturer
offers a machine as standard in their models. This will surely
spread to other suppliers around the world.
I soon found my teacher, and began studying how
to play drums. The difference was amazing. The drum lesson
online did a little for me, but the teacher I got showed me
right away how to become a better drummer. It was a drumming
lesson I won't soon forget that started it. I never even realized
that I needed to develop hand independence to advance past
the basics until my teacher told me that, but once she gave
me some tips, I was soon on my way to becoming a great drummer.
If you can’t find what you are looking

Keep in mind that this will cost you more then buying ready-made
pieces, but if you can afford the cost, this might be the way
to go. When you do this, you can have your computer desk furniture
built exactly like you want it. Don’t forget about comfort

desk that will cause you to bend in an uncomfortable position
when you need to use your mouse. Don’t buy something
that has no place for your keyboard. If your keyboard is too
high, you will soon develop pain in your wrist that can lead
to carpel tunnel syndrome.
It can be challenging reading anytime of classical
music. Unlike regular sheet music, there are a lot of special
notations and marks around the notes that could seem confusing.
Some free websites will actually list what all these notes
and symbols mean and how to play them on your classical guitar.
I can just stick it in my back seat, and I am
good to go. Besides that, my Casio digital piano is great for
midi. It is just simply so much easier to arrange by midi using
the Casio digital piano than it would be to transcribe the
notes by hand, and that is no joke. If you are a composer as
well as a touring musician, as I am, you really will be hard
pressed to go without a midi piano in your studio.
